Herb gardening is a great way to enjoy the beauty of nature in your own home. With a herb garden wall planter, you can easily bring nature indoors and enjoy fresh herbs all year round. Not only can you save money by not having to buy herbs from the store, but you can also enjoy the therapeutic effects of growing your own herbs, as well as the added benefit of having a unique, beautiful wall planter as a decoration. With the right wall planter and herbs, you can create the perfect herb garden that will be sure to please any plant lover.

Selecting and Preparing the Herbs

When selecting herbs for your wall planter, it is important to consider the amount of light and temperature in the area where you plan to install your garden. Herbs such as basil, oregano, and thyme require full sun for at least six hours per day, while mint, chives, and parsley will do well in partial shade. Temperature is also important – if your wall planter is in a cold area, opt for herbs that can tolerate cooler temperatures, such as rosemary, bay leaves, and lavender.

Once you have selected your herbs, prep them for planting. Remove any dead or wilted leaves, and trim off any roots that are longer than two inches.

Plant your herbs in a potting soil that is well-draining, adding in a few handfuls of gravel to the bottom of the pot to ensure proper drainage. Make sure to give your herbs plenty of water, but avoid overwatering. Place your herbs in the wall planter and enjoy!
